As the much awaited trailer of Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanjana Sanghi and Ratna Pathak Shah’s Dhak Dhak releases, John Abraham took to his social media handle to cheer for the ladies with a thoughtful note. Sharing the note on Instagram, he wrote, “4 ordinary woman on an epic bike journey. Distance: 1000 kms, Travel time: 10 days, Destination:18380 ft height Khardungla pass, highest motorable pass. Delhi to Leh. First time ever! Memories of a lifetime.”
John’s note read, “Motorcycling is in my heart and I believe that I can ride better than I can walk. I have always been in love with motorcycles, so much so that I tuned one of my motorcycles in a way that the sound of the piston was in sync with my heart beat. Whenever I sat on it, there was a sense of synchronization, where I felt one with my bike and our hearts were beating together. I am told that’s exactly the philosophy behind the title Dhak Dhak This is my idea of romance.”
On a closing note he added, “A big shoutout to Taapsee & Pranjal for being brave enough to produce such content. A film like this is so special. It’s high time that we saw a lot more women lead their own lives. I wish women would go out there and expel the notion that women can’t ride. I always wanted everybody to make motorcycling a part of their lifestyle. The film is more than celebrating bikes, it’s about celebrating life. So if I was a woman or if I was anybody who wanted to celebrate life, I would do it with Dhak Dhak.”
Taapsee Pannu has now reacted to John’s words. Sharing his post on her Instagram story, she wrote, “Thank You so much John. This is so encouraging and heartwarming for a team how totally followed their heart’s Dhak Dhak at every step and every challenge. My 4 lovely heroes and the super hero crew have put in all sweat and heart to live up to the expectation of this FIRST. You have surely revved up our Dhak Dhak by notches with this wish. #Gratitude.”
