Ranbir Kapoor Trolls Rohit Shetty in New Video, Says Shetty Blockbuster Means '50 Cars Ka Antim Sanskaar'

Ranbir Kapoor and Rohit Shetty collaborated on an insurance ad and the video of the same is finally out! In photos leaked from the sets, it was revealed that Ranbir will be seen in the police uniform in the video. Now, the video has been released and it shows Ranbir poking fun at Rohit’s action packed movies. Rohit, who has helmed films such as Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Ranveer Singh’s Simmba, was also seen in the video.

The video opened with Rohit giving Ranbir a brief of the shot. “Ranbir, ek thodu idea hai,” Rohit said, before Ranbir declared that Rohit is back with another Shetty blockbuster. Ranbir was then seen in the driver’s seat of car when he teases Rohit. “(Shetty blockbuster means) minimum 50 cars ka antim sanskaar,” he said before the scene changes to him firing machine guns. “Koi shot mein shooting karwata hai?” he said and eventually was seen fighting off a group of goons. “Gunde aur gravity dono ko defeat karna koi inse seekhe,” he joked.

The video then showed Ranbir admitted in the hospital, with a broken hand and leg, presenting to the audience the insurance he and Rohit were advertising. Watch the video below:

The video drew all kinds of reactions from social media users. “This just made me realize that I miss the funny Ranbir, Ajab prem ki Gazab kahani waala Ranbir. I wish he did comedies for a change,” a social media user wrote on Reddit. “Ranbir in a good comedy is the next goldmine waiting to be tapped. Someone needs to come up with a good script else it is gonna go wasted,” added another.

This is the first time Ranbir and Rohit are collaborating. It is to see if the short ad transpires into Ranbir joining Rohit’s cop universe some day.
