After films like Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is coming up with his next pan-India magnum opus titled Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor. The film-maker had sent the media buzzing with rumours about a possible collaboration after he was spotted with Shah Rukh Khan at the T-Series. Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has revealed that he would like to work with King Khan someday.
Speaking with the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared without hesitation, “Yes, I did meet Shah Rukh Khan recently. I didn’t discuss at length, but I told sir, ‘I am a big fan’. I don’t know what kind of film I would make, but I definitely wish to make a film with Shah Rukh Khan.”
While fans await the release of Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the filmmaker already has other projects in the pipeline. His next project is the film titled Spirit featuring Prabhas and an untitled project with Allu Arjun. In a recent interview, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Bhushan Kumar spoke about their upcoming collaborations and expressed their excitement.
Bhushan told Pinkvilla, “I am very excited for Spirit. He (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) has told me the lead character and it’s a very interesting part for Prabhas… The Allu Arjun film will be again different. It will be Sandeep’s style of filmmaking with Allu Arjun.”
Sandeep said, “They (Spirit and the untitled Allu Arjun film) will have a new world, new emotions and new drama. There is no point in making a routine film with a big star.”
Earlier, during Animal’s trailer launch event in Delhi, Sandeep was asked that just like the “spyverse” and the “copverse” have become new trends in Bollywood, is there a possibility that Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Prabhas’ Spirit could also be in the same universe? Intrigued by this question, Ranbir also asked Sandeep, “Kya Animal aur Spirit saath aa sakte hain? (Can Animal and Spirit come together?)”
To this, the director replied, “Socha nahi hai, but if it happens toh batata hoon (I haven’t thought about it, but if it happens then I’ll let you know).” Sandeep’s answer left the audience bursting with laughter.
Animal is one of the most anticipated and talked-about films of the year. It marks Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second directorial venture in Bollywood after Shahid Kapoor’s popular film Kabir Singh. The film is the first collaboration between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor and fans are excited to watch what cinematic magic they will bring to the big screens on December 1.
