Sky Force: Akshay Kumar To Headline Film Based On India's First Air Strike Attack Against Pakistan
Akshay Kumar announces new film Sky Force. The film is all set to release on October 2, 2024.

On the occassion of Gandhi Jayanti, Akshay Kumar announced a one of a kind thriller movie based on India’s first air strike against Pakistan. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, The film titled Sky Force is all set to release on 2nd October, 2024.

Akshay took to his social media handle to announce the same. Apart from Gandhi Jayanti, October 2 is also the birth date of our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, and the film has been set during his tenure. Akshay also penned a beautiful note that read, “No better day than today to announce the incredible story of #SkyForce: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Sky Force takes flight in cinemas on 2nd October, 2024.”

The film also mark the debut of Veer Pahariya. Sky Force will be helmed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in OMG 2. The film turned out to be a massive entertainer as well as a box office success. He is now gearing up for Mission Raniganj with Parineeti Chopra. The film produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor, is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It will be released in theatres on October 6, 2023. The makers recently revealed the trailer of the film.

Coming to the trailer, it lives up to the tremendous hype that has surrounded the film. It is a roller-coaster ride of emotions, drama, inspiration, courage, and soulful music, all beautifully woven together with terrific performances from the cast. In the film, Akshay Kumar essays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill who played a significant role in rescuing surviving miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989 which was a successful rescue mission in Bharat against all odds.
