Veteran Bollywood actor Sunil Shroff died on September 14. He was last seen in the hit film, Oh My God 2, featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam. The reason behind his death is still unknown. The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), which is a trade union that looks after the rights and welfare of the members in the entertainment industry, on Friday shared the news on X.

The Chautha rituals of the late actor will be held at 5PM on September 17 at Gurudwara Sadh Sangat in Evershine Nagar in Mumbai.
Sunil Shroff was also seen in the 2021 romantic drama film Shiddat, which featured Radhika Madan and Sunny Kaushal in the lead. In the film, he was seen playing the role of Gautam Sehgal’s father. The film was directed by Kunal Deshmukh and also featured Mohit Raina, Diana Penty and Arjun Singh among others. He was also seen in a supporting role in the 2021-film Kabaad: The Coin.
OMG 2 was released on August 11 and turned out to be a commercial success. Sunil Shroff even attended the success party of the film and shared a picture of himself with Pankaj Tripathi. In the selfie, Sunil was seen donning a pink shirt with a blue coat, while Pankaj Tripathi was seen in a maroon shirt and a black cap. He wrote in the caption of the post, “OMG 2 Party.”
Sunil Shroff has also worked on web series like the miniseries Julie and Jaghanya. In the Kunal Khemu-starrer action web series Abhay, he essayed the role of a senior doctor. He has also appeared in Arjun Rampal’s 2019 series, The Final Call, where he portrayed the character of Mr Jindal. The veteran actor also did many ad films with some high-profile brands and frequently shared his work on Instagram.
