All central government offices, central institutions and central industrial establishments across the country shall remain closed for half a day till 02:30 PM on January 22 to facilitate the participation of employees in “Pran Pratishtha” of Ram Lalla at Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Pradesh Ayodhya.
Responding to overwhelming sentiment and demands of employees to participate in the celebrations associated with Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Ram Mandir on 22nd January, the Centre has declared half a day closing of Central Government establishments in the country.
As per the notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, all Central Government offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments across the country shall remain closed for half a day till 02:30 PM.
Various activities have been planned by organizations and groups of people across India and abroad to coincide with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
National broadcaster Doordarshan has made elaborate arrangements for live telecast of the entire event, which will also be shown live on several private TV channels. Arrangements have also been made for screening of the Ayodhya ceremony live on large screens at public places in India and abroad.
As the country gears up to welcome Lord Ram at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on January 22, the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony rituals started off with the ‘Prayaschita’ and ‘Karmakuti Poojan’ on Tuesday.
The office in-charge of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Prakash Gupta, said that the consecration of Lord Ram is scheduled to take place on January 22 between 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm.
The ceremony will be conducted at the garbha griha (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple, where the idol depicting the 5-year-old child form of Lord Ram will be housed.
For January 21 and 22, over 100 VIPs are expected to land in Ayodhya on nearly 50 special flights ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi arriving at 11am.
