David Beckham Not Meeting Indian Football Team During His Visit Sparks Debate on ‘X’

After David Beckham’s visit to India, many images and videos surfaced on social media. He appeared at the India Vs New Zealand World Cup semi final. Following this, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted a dinner for him, where many more celebrities were present. The posted pictures from the dinner feature the stunning decor, dining table, charming artworks and Beckham himself who opted for simple and stylish attire. Other snaps capture Beckham interacting with Anil Kapoor and many others.

Amid all of this, a post on ‘X’ is going viral and has sparked a debate. ‘X’ user Arpit Arora pointed out how Beckham met everyone except the Indian Football team. While the realisation hit hard for most people, there were many who defended the former footballer saying that the Indian Football team was not in the country.

“For all the non football fans like you, India are currently playing the World Cup qualifiers & have been in the training camp from the past week or so,” commented an ‘X’ user. Another person wrote, “He came here for Unicef and Meta. He didn’t go out of his way to ‘meet’ anyone. Those were company events where he must just be fulfilling contractual obligations. Plus the team is travelling and has another match in a couple days so it makes no sense. Don’t be entitled.”
