Earlier, US had alleged the involvement of an Indian officials in a suspected plot to kill Khalistani radical Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.

The India government has already established a committe to probe into the claims and has promised to take action after the probe is over.

The issue of the Pannun’s killing was earlier discussed during US Principal Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) Jon Finer’s visit to Delhi last week. During his visit, he held talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

With his meet, this will Wray first visit to India since taking charge in 2017.

According to a report in the Indian Express, preparations have started and the NIA will discuss a range of issues like cases against Pannun, US-based gangster Darmanjot Singh Kahlon, who supplied weapons to eliminate popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
