The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) issued the WBPSC Preliminary 2023 answer key on December 22. Candidates who had appeared for the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) exam can now download the answer key by visiting the official website at wbpsc.gov.in. Those who want can raise objections, if required, from December 30. The objection-raising window will close on January 5, 2024. Candidates should keep in mind that any discrepancy reported after the previously mentioned date will not be taken into account.

“Candidates are advised to compare the answer keys with the question papers very carefully, and indicate the Test Booklet Series and the Serial Number(s) of Question(s), regarding which they had any doubt, if any, to the notice of the Commission, by accessing the link at https://wbpsc.gov.in and populating the relevant details between, 30.12.2023 and 05.01.2024,” reads the official notice.

WBPSC Prelims 2023 Answer Key: Steps To Download

Step 1: Go to the official website of WBPSC at wbpsc.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for the ‘Examination’ section and click on the ‘WBPSC 2023 Answer Key’ link.

Step 3: As a new window opens, click on the link that says – “ANSWER KEYS TO THE MCQ PAPER OF W.B.C.S. (EXE.) ETC. (PRELIM) EXAMINATION 2023. ADVT. NO. 01/2023.”

Step 4: Then select “Click PDF to Download” and the WBPSC Preliminary Exam Answer Key 2023 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Check the details and download the PDF.

The preliminary exam was held on December 16, 2023, at several exam centres across the state. Through this recruitment exam, the West Bengal government aims to fill up vacancies for numerous jobs in Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D services.

In the WBPSC preliminary exam, each question is worth one mark. If you answer correctly, you will receive a perfect score; if you answer incorrectly, you will receive a negative score. No one has yet been informed of the specifics of the negative marking.

The WBPSC preliminary examination is a screening test. The marks will not be used after this stage and will not be considered in the final selection. Candidates who pass the prelims will be able to write the mains, which will consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject with two papers. The main results will be used to compile the final merit list.
