Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti has claimed that Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung threatened him.
In a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bharti claimed that a land earmarked for school was given to BJP by L-G.
Bharti demanded in his letter that the Chief Minister should raise this issue with President Pranab Mukherjee. Bharti also demanded making public the "recording" of Thursday's meeting at Raj Niwas so that the truth comes out. Jung's office had already denied the allegations by Bharti.
"Since the issue involved larger interest pertaining to education, I kept on requesting the LG to allow me to speak on the issue. When I did not stop speaking and kept demanding for a feasibility report which justified such a land use change, he (LG) threatened me with an FIR," Bharti alleged in the letter.
