Lucknow: The BSP on Saturday termed the BJP's resolution on Uttar Pradesh as a "bunch of lies" and advised the opposition leaders to concentrate on the party-ruled states.
"The resolution passed by the BJP national executive regarding UP is a bunch of lies," a party spokesman said in a statement issued in Lucknow.
He alleged that the BJP "obsessed" with anti-dalit mentality, was unable to bear the leadership of a dalit chief minister in the country's biggest and politically most important state.
Along with the UPA government, the former NDA regime was equally responsible for price rise, poverty, unemployment and poor situation of the farmers, he claimed.
"Instead of giving lessons to others on corruption, BJP leaders should concentrate on the working of the party ruled states," he alleged.
He said that allegations of the BJP regarding sale of sugar mills in the state are false and baseless, claiming that complete transparency was maintained and procedure followed in the disinvestment process.
"The BJP during its regime sold Unchahar and Tanda thermal projects at a throw away prices," the spokesman alleged.
The spokesman also alleged that the BJP leaders were attempting to create confusion over situation of the farmers in the state.
