A huge blackmail, extortion and sex racket has been exposed in Andhra Pradesh. The racket was busted after a woman from Vijaywada complained of exorbitant repayment.
Several cases of women being coerced into sexual exploitation in the racket have also emerged in the police probe. Names of several TDP leaders are also surfacing in connection with the scam. 80 people have been arrested so far in the case.
The racket is said to have multiple links even outside Andhra and is being referred to as the money-sex racket.
According to the scheme, a person can instantly avail a loan by making a phone-call but the lender can demand repayment at any given time and in case of failure of repayment, the lender has the right to take away belongings, movable and even immovable property.
