New Delhi: Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee arrived in New Delhi on Sunday night to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Accompanied by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, she reached the capital late in the night and told reporters she will meet the two leaders on Monday. She also said that the date for her swearing in ceremony will be decided once Manohan Singh can take out some time.
"I Will meet PM, Sonia tomorrow and will invite them to be present in the swearing in ceremony. The date is not confirmed, will update only when PM gives time," said Mamata
She may resign as Railway Minister ahead of her swearing-in as West Bengal Chief Minister later this week.
During the meeting, she will invite the two leaders for the swearing-in ceremony and also formally ask the Congress to be part of the new government.
