New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi reached New Delhi on Thursday morning to attend BJP's Parliamentary Board meet. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday. Modi was inducted into the BJP's Parliamentary board in March this year. He was anointed as Party's Campaign Committee chief by BJP President Rajnath Singh in March in Goa.
He was re-inducted into the panel after a gap of six years. Among the other new members, who were appointed in the board, were Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi and Modi's close aide and former Gujarat home minister Amit Shah.
In a relief to Narendra Modi, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday didn't name him in its first chargesheet filed in Ishrat Jahan Fake encounter case. The CBI has said that the 19-year-old girl along with three others - Pranesh Pillai alias Javed Sheikh, Amjad Ali Rana and Zeeshan Johar - was killed in cold blood by the Gujarat Police on June 15, 2004
