New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK Chief J Jayalalithaa broke her silence for the first time after sacking her close aide Sasikala on Friday.
At an AIADMK meet, Jayalalithaa defended her action to sack long-time friend Sasikala.
She said Sasikala was sacked for her mistakes and for betraying the party and that there was nothing wrong in that.
"Action is taken only against those who make mistakes. There's nothing wrong if those expelled join other parties. But when they say they continue to have clout in our party it's a problem," said the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
Jayalalithaa also stressed that Sasikala will not be taken back into the party again.
