Slain DSP's wife says her husband was shot at thrice

lucknow: Even four days after DSP Zia-ul-Haq was murdered, the Uttar Pradesh police have not been able to find the bullet which allegedly killed him. According to the government postmortem report Haq was hit by only one bullet but his widow claims that he was hit by three bullets.

According to the postmortem report the bullet hit Haq's back and then exited after damaging internal organs leading to his death. The report also mentions that no bullet was found in the DSP's body. Police are still searching for the bullet to try and find out the type of the weapon which was used to fire the shot.

Till now investigators have been unable to find the DSP's service revolver, his mobile phone and also the weapon and bullet which allegedly led to his death.

Meanwhile, Haq's wife Parveen Azad, who is a medical student, is raising several questions about the entire incident and the postmortem report. Parveen claims that she saw several bullet wounds on her husband's body. She says that she saw one bullet wound each on her husband's knees and one bullet pierced his liver.

She adds that there was no bullet mark on Haq'a pant which suggest that his pant was removed before he was shot at and points out that his belt was open. Parveen also alleges that her husband has deep wounds on his head and he may have been hit by a sharp weapon.
