After playing an absolute thriller at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Australia will be looking to continue their winning streak against Bangladesh in their next match. The Aussies failed to find the right momentum in the initial phase of their World Cup campaign in India.
They lost their tournament opener against India by six wickets before conceding a second successive defeat to South Africa.
However, things have changed quite a bit as the Australians have got back to their top form winning six successive matches in the competition.
They were on the verge of their first defeat in six matches in their previous fixture against Afghanistan but it was Glenn Maxwell who came to his side’s rescue. The Aussie all-rounder took it upon himself to earn a win for his side.
Maxwell belted a double-century, smashing 21 fours and 10 sixes in the match to secure a hard-fought three-wicket win against the Afghans. They will now be looking to extend their winning run against Bangladesh.
