Recently, the director unveiled thrilling details about the upcoming film. Sonu Gowda is set to star in the lead role in it. She has a crucial role in the storyline. Recently, Vijaya Prasad has responded to the questions of the media about why Ramya isn’t in the Sidlingu sequel. He explained that while the sequel follows on from the first film, it goes in a different direction, storywise. In the previous instalment, Ramya’s character met with a tragedy, separating Sidlingu from Mangala. Vijaya stated, “We tried to include Ramya’s character, but the role of Sumne felt rushed. Her role didn’t fit the storyline”. Vijaya has officially confirmed that Ramya won’t be part of Sidlingu 2.
The storyline of the film unfolds in Mysore, and the director mentioned that a significant part of the film will be shot there. The music of the film is composed by Anoop Seelin. Sidlingu 2 is backed by Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios and also stars Diganth Manchale and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles.
The 2012 film Sidlingu starred Yogesh and Ramya in lead roles. Directed and written by Vijaya Prasad, the movie marked his debut on the big screen after directing several TV series. Sidlingu revolves around a passionate car enthusiast who builds connections with a girl and a lecturer, all because of his love for cars. The story unfolds as he relocates to Srirangapatna and meets the teacher Mangala.
Some time back, Vijaya Prasad informed about the starcast of the sequel. He confirmed that Suman Ranganath will be returning for Sidlingu 2.
