Delivery giants are making a smart move by using electric fleets, known as E-fleet.

This switch is a big change in how things move around in cities. They’re focusing on business and big groups of vehicles, thinking that this will speed up the use of electric vehicles (EVs).

They’re targeting areas like food delivery, moving goods, and taxi services because EVs are cheaper in the long run. Some big names, like Amazon, want to add 10,000 EVs to their delivery vehicles in India by 2025. Zomato plans to have all its delivery vehicles running on electricity by 2030, and Uber aims to have 25,000 EVs in action by 2026 through its “Uber Green” project.

In the fast-changing world of moving things from one place to another, using electric vehicles is a big innovation. In India, big delivery companies are taking this idea even further. As electric vehicles become part of the last part of the delivery process, how things get around in cities is changing for the better.

According to Pritesh Mahajan, the CEO of Revamp Moto, a big player in the industry, “As e-commerce and delivery giants increasingly embrace e-vehicles, it’s a powerful synergy of efficiency, visibility, and environmental responsibility on our roads. This strategic shift not only optimizes last-mile logistics but serves as a catalyst for wider electric vehicle adoption, encouraging a sustainable and cost-effective future in urban mobility.”

Apart from helping the environment, electric vehicles also save money when delivering the last part of a journey. They don’t just cut costs compared to regular vehicles; they also make it easier and faster for everything to be delivered. This points to the future of using electric vehicles in India, making cities cleaner, more efficient, and using better technology.
