Asus ROG Ally X Handheld Gaming Console Launched In India: Price, Features
Asus ROG handheld device is running on Windows 11 and powered by an AMD chipset but now gets a bigger battery.

Asus has launched the new ROG Ally X handheld device powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme in the Indian market this week. The device made its debut at the Computex 2024 earlier this year, with features like a 7-inch 120Hz display and an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU. It is the successor of the Asus ROG Ally and offers major enhancements, the most noteworthy of which being a larger battery, which was one of the most common complaints about its predecessor. The Ally X features a sleek black design that is ergonomic for maximum comfort.

The Asus ROG Ally X will be priced at Rs. 89,900 in India and will be available in only one colour: black. The handheld gaming gadget can be picked up from Asus ROG Store, Eshop, Flipkart, Amazon, and other offline retailers.

Asus ROG Ally X Features

The Asus ROG Ally X has similar specs as its global counterpart. It has a 7-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a response time of 7ms. According to Asus, this screen can reach a peak brightness of 500 nits and has 100 per cent sRGB coverage. It is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection. To address concerns like screen tearing, the company has included AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology in the gaming handheld.

The Asus ROG Ally X weighs 678g and has dimensions of 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47. It is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset with an 8-core Zen 4 architecture. The hardware is paired with an RDNA 3 GPU and 24GB of LPDDR5X dual-channel onboard RAM. It has a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD with upgradable capacity to 4TB for storage. Windows 11 is the operating system on the gadget.

The Asus ROG Ally X is a dual-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology and Dolby Atmos support to improve your gaming experience. In addition, its built-in array microphone is Hi-Res certified and includes AI noise cancellation.

The Asus Ally X has four ports for connectivity: a Thunderbolt 4 port that supports DisplayPort, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a UHS-II microSD card reader. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E are supported. Double the capacity of its predecessor, the handheld is powered by an 80Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery. The gaming device may be charged at 65W via USB Type-C.
