Gmail’s Fight Against Spam Mails Will Make Your Lives Easier: Here’s What Users Get
Gmail is going to make it necessary that business accounts secure their mails and only send the important mails to users.

Google has been promising the easiest way to block spam mails for a while but the feature is finally here. Gmail users now have a simple button to click that can let them unsubscribe to any spam mails that hits their inbox.

In fact, the company is now making it mandatory for businesses to make the process to unsubscribe from their emails almost like a single-click feature. Email security is becoming vital as the technology advances and Gmail understands the need to prevent these threats before they cause major issues for billions of users.

AI is also becoming part of its weapons to tackle spam but businesses have an equal need to end the menace of spams. “To help fix that, we’ve focused on a crucial aspect of email security: the validation that a sender is who they claim to be. As basic as it sounds, it’s still sometimes impossible to verify who an email is from given the web of antiquated and inconsistent systems on the internet,” Gmail points out in this post.

In simple words, Gmail is taking its mission ‘end of spam’ to another level from February 2024. The platform has set a three-point rule that needs to be followed by businesses sending bulk emails to consumers.

– Bulk senders need to authenticate their emails to avoid any possible intrusion by attackers.

– Make it easy to unsubscribe from their emails, have a one-click option for users and make sure the requests are processed within 48 hours.

– These businesses need to ensure that they are sending mails that are wanted by the users or at least relevant to them in some way. Gmail’s spam rate threshold will ensure your inbox is not flooded by unwanted spam mails.

Marketing mails can be a pain if you sign up for a service and Google has accepted these issues for which it now has a direct unsubscribe button. This button is already available for Gmail on the web, right at the top, next to the subject line of the email. Android users will be getting the feature in the coming months as well.
