Microsoft has announced Surface Studio at their October event in New York City. The Surface Studio is available in limited quantities this holiday season for $2,999, $3,499 and $4,999 depending on the hardware option you choose.
Preorders for the Surface Studio begin today, and it will be showcased in Microsoft retail stores ahead of its release.
The all-in-one PC sports a 28-inch 4500 x 3000 PixelSense LCD display and has Adobe sRGB and DCI-P colour settings along with 10-point multitouch. The Surface Studio is powered by Intel's sixth generation Core i5 or Core i7 processor and will be available with 1TB or 2TB hybrid drive storage options.
There are three RAM options of 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB available on the Studio and it uses a GeForce GTX 965M 2GB (in Core i5 Studio) or GTX 980M 4GB (in Core i7 Studio) graphics unit.
For connectivity, Microsoft has enabled the Studio with four USB 3.0 (one high power), 3.5mm headphone jack, SD card slot, Ethernet, Mini DisplayPort, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
There is also Stereo 2.1 Dolby Audio in it along with a 5-megapixel front camera with Windows Hello support and a 1080p video recording rear camera.
