OnePlus 3 vs Moto X Style vs Xiaomi Mi 5: Spec-to-spec comparison
Let's find out where the OnePlus 3 has an edge over the competition and where it falls behind.

OnePlus is all set to launch its next flagship killer, the OnePlus 3. According to an advertisement in a leading daily it's priced at Rs 27,999 and will go on sale in India this week. Going by the leaks and rumours OnePlus 3 promises high-end specifications. But, it is yet to be ascertained as to how it fares in real-life tests. We will soon be out with our full review of the phone, but meanwhile, you can take a look at the phones it competes with.

While there is a wide range of smartphones available in the same price band, we bring you the top 5 handsets that can compete strongly against the new OnePlus flagship. Let's find out where the OnePlus 3 has an edge over the competition and where it falls behind.1. RAM: One of the key highlights of the OnePlus 3 is its RAM. With 6 GB of RAM on baord, the OnePlus 3 becomes one of the very few phones to have this amount of RAM. When compared with its competitors, there is only Le Max 2 that comes with same amount of RAM. While how seamless the OnePlus 3 multitasks is yet to be experienced.2. Chipset: The OnePlus 3 is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 chipset, which hints at great performance and low battery consumption. Having said the same processor on the Xiaomi Mi 5 couldn't help it earn good scores on the performance front. Another competitor to have the same chipset is the Le Max 2, but the phone is not yet to go on sale in India. The Moto X Style and Nexus 5X, on the other hand, are equipped with a Snapdragon 808 processor.

While the last-gen OnePlus was heavily criticised for overheating issues, we are yet to put this phone to tests to see if such issues persist in the successor as well. 3. Display: The display on the phone is basically at par with the competition. While some of the phones in the same price segment are offering a 2K display, the OnePlus 3 comes with the full HD one. There is no doubt that 2K displays offer a better viewing experience, but that in no way devalues the quality of the full HD displays.4. Storage: The OnePlus 3 offers a huge storage space when comapred to the onbaord storage on its competitors. With 64 GB of internal storage, the OnePlus 3 outdoes the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Nexus 5 on the storage front. The Moto X Style also has maximum of 32 GB of internal storage, but the support for a microSD card helps it earn extra points. Of all the devices listed here, the Moto X Style is the only phone to have support for microSD card.5. Camera: Quite like the display, the megapixel count of cameras on the OnePlus 3 are in line with the competition. But how the OnePlus 3's cameras perform in the real-world tests are something that we will talk about after putting them to real-world tests. While the camera quality of the OnePlus 3 is yet to be tested, we can easily vouch for the quality of cameras on the Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi 5, and the Moto X Style.

This comparison of the OnePlus 3 with the competiton is purely based on what the spec sheets boast of. We will be able to talk more on the OnePlus 3 and its fate in the market after getting our hands on it.

All of the phones listed above run on Android. If you don't want to go for Android, there is an iOS phone as well available in the same price segment. The iPhone 5s may be years-old, but existing users of the phone are still content with its performance. And there is a new iOS update on its way for the iPhones.
