Bigg Boss 17: Ankita Lokhande Becomes The New Captain

Bigg Boss 17 is inching closer to its finale, and the competition is getting intense with each passing day. Recently, the contestants were up to select the new captain for the week, and after Munawar Faruqui, Isha Malviya, and others, Ankita Lokhande emerged as the captain of the house. However, Mannara Chopra and Samarth Jurel were not happy with the decision.

In the latest episode, Bigg Boss announced the captaincy task in the house. According to the rules of the task, ex-captains Munawar Faruqui, Isha Malviya, and others were given the power to choose the new captain of the house. While Munawar supported Ankita, Isha wanted Samarth to be the captain. Munawar, on the other side, tried to persuade Isha and get her on board, resulting in Ankita Lokhande winning the captaincy task. This dynamic task not only contributed excitement in the game, but it also had a ripple effect on the contestants’ relationships.

The results of the captaincy task have upset both Samarth Jurel and Mannara Chopra, who had hoped to get a benefit from their binding with the previous captains. Samarth Jurel desired a benefit because his girlfriend, Isha Malviya, was one of the ex-captains and had the authority to make the choice. Samarth even tried to persuade her about the same. However, after speaking with Munawar, Isha was forced to withdraw Samarth from the competition for captaincy.

Isha remarked that she owed Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain as they helped her during her captaincy, and hence she decided to remove him from the race. Samarth, in contrast, was irritated. Isha also mentioned that she had previously assisted Samarth by making a few decisions in his favour.

Mannara Chopra was unhappy since Munawar Faruqui did not stand up for her and allow her to compete. Munawar, was clear that he wanted Ankita to be captain and applied his strategy accordingly.

Meanwhile, the last episode of Bigg Boss became one of the highlights of the season as the fight between Isha, Abhishek, and Samarth intensified. Samarth and Isha had been bullying Abhishek over his mental health concerns, and he in turn got provoked to take a violent step. Abhishek was seen slapping Samarth in front of the other contestants. The housemates were shocked and condemned his actions.
