Tsitsipas and Badosa defeated the American duo of Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton to reach the US Open Mixed Madness 2024 final. They again found themselves against an American team comprising Anisimova and Fritz. Tsitsidosa demonstrated their on-court chemistry at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. They were awarded a winning prize of $250,000 by tennis legends Billie Jean King and Andre Agassi. This event marked the first time, Tsitsipas and Badosa teamed up since rekindling their relationship earlier this year.
Speaking about the triumph, Tsitsipas discussed how he and Badosa had been planning this moment for a while. As per The Greek Herald, he said, “We had been planning this (to play mixed doubles with Badosa) for a long time, and I’m very happy it finally happened… I’m grateful that we were able to play good tennis and have fun, and that I got to share this experience with a special person, with whom I also share my life. It was a great night.”
With a massive win in the bag, Tsitsipas and Badosa have already created a buzz right before the US Open. Badosa also shared the news that the tennis couple now intend to reunite in a week for the mixed doubles event at the US Open.
