Chef’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham-themed Cake Is Viral; Twitter Wants Her To Make One On Kal Ho Naa Ho

If you’re a Shah Rukh Khan fan, you have definitely watched the iconic Karan Johar film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. From a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, and others to a lavish set, the film boasts several noteworthy elements. Recently, a chef, a fan of this cult movie, decided to get a little creative. The baker made a Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham-themed cake and cine buffs are loving every bit of it.

The creative culinary take of the film was uploaded to the Instagram handle Essange. The short clip showed how the pastry chef built the luxurious Raichand home, as shown in the film, on a rectangular cake base. The baker then delicately drew a sun on the cake in reference to the popular song Suraj Hua Maddham. Continuing her artistic endeavour, she expertly included landmarks such as India Gate and Qutub Minar to represent the film’s setting in Delhi.

The pastry chef then flawlessly transitioned to the characters’ journey to London in the second half, drawing Big Ben and London Bridge. To add more elements to the film, the chef piped a plate of laddoos and an aarti thali into the cake, which played an important role in the film, along with a small helicopter on the cake to represent the initial scene of Shah Rukh Khan returning home. Last, the chef made the characters in the middle of the cake. The caption simply stated, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam on a cake.’

The Bollywood-inspired cake received about 1.6 million views so far and netizens could not stop but appreciate the creativity.

One user exclaimed, “Omg this is sooo good! What an amazing talent and amount of patience you have,” while another stated, “Your composition and picking up all the small little details is everything.’

While the pastry chef paid attention to a lot of details in the film, fans pointed out some that were missed. One person said, “Where’s the gamlaaa (nahin vase)?? In all seriousness, this is beautiful.” Another individual stated, “You forgot the bench lekin mast hai.”

A mesmerised fan said, “I’d never eat this and frame it and keep it forever.” while another exclaimed. “Damn girl this is amazing.”

Some also suggested other Shah Rukh Khan films they would like to see on a cake. One user said, “I would love to see an Om shanti om one,” another commented, “Do a Kal no na ho cake.”
