Kindergarten Teacher Gets Married In School With Her Students In Attendance

When you decide on your wedding venue, you think of picturesque backgrounds or pristine views. But this bride made an out-of-the box choice. A kindergarten teacher in Minnesota wanted to marry in front of her students and colleagues. The students from the school were the distinguished guests of honour at their teacher’s wedding. Catie Zwier, the teacher, and her husband, Kevin, exchanged vows at a school church.

The teacher shared a slew of pictures and videos of her wedding ceremony and wrote, “Mr. and Mrs. Zwier surprise!!! School Mass today was beyond special and the greatest surprise we could have ever pulled off! I wore my mom’s wedding dress, Father Ben gave the sweetest homily, fellow staff members kids + the Purdy kids did the readings, the whole school danced us through the halls in the most fun receiving line, and of course the best part was that Kevin and I got married!! I will continue to thank God every day for Kevin Zwier. Can’t wait to do it again tomorrow!”

In the photos she uploaded, one can see the youngsters lining up the hallway to cheer on the newlyweds. There is also a video of the wedding ceremony inside the church. A report by ABC mentioned that Catie Zwier wanted to enjoy the big occasion with her second family, the pupils, and the faculty at her school, where she has taught for the past nine years. She said that the concept had been in the works for months, and she had kept it hidden from the bulk of her students, with the exception of the scripture readers and designated flower girls.

Many people reacted to her post. Some who had the chance of attending the unique ceremony stated, “I cannot get over this!! So Incredibly special!! This will be hard to top in the years to come! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Zwier!!”

Catie seems to have borrowed her dress from someone close to her as well. The individual replied, “It was such a beautiful ceremony, so special to see you wearing my wedding dress. Love you guys.”

Many who saw her effort on social media lauded, “This is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! Congrats!”
