Move Over Bobby Deol, Old Woman's Dance To Jamal Kudu Song Now Internet's Favourite

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest film Animal became the talk of the town upon its release in December 2023. From Ranbir Kapoor’s stellar performance to the gory action sequences and hard-hitting BGM, the film went on to win several accolades. But one thing that the masses are still not able to get over is Bobby Deol’s entry in the Iranian song Jamal Kudu. Over the last few months, social media users have been recreating the track in umpteen creative ways, incorporating the iconic hook step of dancing with a glass on their head. Now, an elderly woman has joined the trend mimicking popular dance moves like an expert.

A video of the elderly woman dancing to the beats of Jamal Kudu was dropped on X (formerly Twitter) garnering multiple views from the internet population. The clip opens inside a restaurant premises where the aged woman is seen balancing a beverage bottle upon her head. With a smile on her face, she executes the iconic Jamal Kudu steps, making sure the bottle does not topple off. Her expressions and gestures lit up the room full of diners who watched her in amazement. The woman even whistled amazing loud cheers and applause. Some time into the video, a man joins her and matches the steps to the song.

The internet population was impressed by the elderly woman’s dance performance and reacted to the video approvingly. While one user labelled her as “Gen-Z dadi” another wished, “When I grow up, I want to be like her.” Heaping praise on her, a third individual commented, “Aunty Jamal Jamal.” So far, the clip has collected over 1,93,000 views on the micro-blogging platform.

Earlier, a similar video was dropped on Instagram where an elderly woman, resembling the one shown here displayed her dancing prowess to the Jamal Kudu track. The video began with her making a cup of tea inside the kitchen.

After the brewing and sifting process, she skilfully balanced the tea-filled cup upon her head and danced her way out of the kitchen. The woman was joined by her family who also shook a leg with her to the viral Animal track.
