RCB Fan's 'Silent' Celebration After SRH Triumph Is Making All The Right Noises
RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first. A composed half-century by Virat Kohli built the foundation while Rajat Patidar went all guns blazing later in the innings.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured their second win of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) by beating an in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in an away clash on Thursday, April 25. The SRH batting line-up which looked invincible in the past few games, faced a collapse while chasing a target of 207 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

The last time when both teams took on each other this season in Bengaluru, the Hyderabad-based side put up a devastating batting performance to produce the highest team total in the tournament history – 287 runs. RCB endured a 25-run defeat in the home game and their fans had to digest whistles and boos from the supporters of the visiting unit.

It was a payback time for the Bengaluru faithful last night. The venue in Hyderabad paid host to many RCB fans. After the visitors secured a 35-run win over SRH, a fan donning the RCB’s jersey was seen pulling out the silence gesture to mock the home crowd.

When RCB lost the previous head-to-head fixture, the official fan club of the Hyderabad-based franchise dropped a picture on X (formerly Twitter) where a few fans were seen trolling the opposition supporters with the same silent gesture.

The reaction first became viral after the ICC ODI World Cup final when Pat Cummins-led Australia silenced a full-house Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by defeating hosts India by six wickets.

Apart from this, many hilarious content surfaced on social media following RCB’s victory over SRH. Let’s take a look at some of them:

Coming to the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bat first in Hyderabad. A composed half-century by Virat Kohli built the foundation while Rajat Patidar went all guns blazing later in the innings. The youngster struck a blistering fifty off just 20 balls. Cameron Green also played a quickfire knock of 37 runs, helping RCB set a 200-plus target.

Abhishek Sharma gave SRH a powerful start but lost his opening partner Travis Head early in the very first over. Among the upcoming batters, only Shahbaz Ahmed and Pat Cummins could breach the 30-run mark. In the end, the home side folded their innings at 171 runs.
