After the house was built, it was put up for auction on the island for Rs 37 lakh, but a couple bought it for more than double the price by paying around Rs 90 lakh.

Most people wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and want to settle in a peaceful part of the world. Many people have even made their vacation homes in the countryside to stay closer to nature and live a slow life. Recently, a house located in Norway has been in the news for being among the loneliest houses on earth.

As per reports, this house has had no visitors for months, and there are no people to talk to near the area. It has also been reported that this house was built on a remote island in Norway and has nothing around it. People on the internet have been wondering about the owner who built this house.

The house was reportedly built on an island named Skalmen and is considered to be the loneliest house on earth. There are only two ferries to reach, which itself requires a 4-mile boat trip. Reportedly, the house has been kept closed for tourists for many months because it is also a protected bird reserve. Skalmen Island where the house is located also has a lighthouse, which has not been visited by anyone for the past 20 years. Initially, there were plans to demolish the lighthouse, but later the government thought to sell it in the market.

The beautifully structured house was built in 1906. After it was built, it was put up for auction on the island for Rs 37 lakh, but a couple bought it for more than double the price by paying around Rs 90 lakh. The house is currently owned by a couple named Andreas and Mona, who come here during their vacations to spend time with their family. Recently, it was found that the couple had decided to maintain the house and had been rebuilding it. They want the house to become a tourist destination so that more people visit the island.

Apart from this house in Norway, there is another house in the south of Iceland that is also on the list of the world’s loneliest houses. As per reports, it has been abandoned for more than 100 years, and people are scared to visit the place.
