'You Didn't Make Your Own Oven': Woman's '3-Day' Choco Chip Cookie Recipe Puts Internet to Sleep

Chocolate chip cookies are one of the most popular flavours that can be paired with milk or have them as dessert. Recently, a video of a woman baking gooey cookies from scratch has emerged on Instagram. The woman’s three-day process to make chocolate chip cookies at home fails to impress people.

In the viral clip, the woman can be seen cutting sugarcane, extracting the juice, and making sugar. Next, she prepares butter from the thick fresh cream. She also makes a thick caramel sauce for the cookies by herself. After preparing key ingredients for the gooey cookies at home next day the woman starts baking them. First, she prepares cookie dough by adding fresh butter, homemade brown sugar, and eggs in a bowl. She blended the ingredients well. Lastly, she added all-purpose flour to the mix and refrigerated the dough overnight. The next day, she chopped some homemade chocolates. She made small round balls of dough and added chopped chocolates to them. She baked the cookies for 10 minutes and served them with the garnishing of homemade sugar powder.

The video was shared on an Instagram account named @lucymakes_. Sharing the step-by-step guide to making chocolate chip cookies, the user wrote, “Chocolate chip cookies from scratch inspired by the one and only @naraaziza.” An overlay text in the video mentioned that her husband was craving chocolate chip cookies so she decided to prepare some at home.

The viral video has clocked above 5 million views on Instagram and numbers are still increasing. The video was shared a few days ago. Netizens found the 3-day long process rather funny and failed to understand the need to bake cookies and prepare everything from scratch. The post has received varied comments from the internet. “Disappointed you didn’t make your oven and tools,” mocked a user. “The fact she didn’t mill her flour is heinous,” said a second. “My husband woke up craving chocolate chip cookies the other day so I told him there’s some in the cupboard,” added a third. “My mate wanted a loaf of bread the other day so I started with planting a wheat field,” wrote a fourth.
