MrBeast, the most subscribed individual YouTuber, is known for his generous giveaways and charity projects around the world. Whether it’s constructing 100 wells in Africa, powering a remote village with electricity, or sponsoring 1,000 sight-restoring eye surgeries, MrBeast has made a name for his philanthropy.
His most recent project on his side channel Beast Philanthropy includes giving away electric bikes to those in need. He partnered with Lectric eBikes, the largest electric bike company in the United States, for the video. Lectric eBikes sponsored the video and also gave MrBeast’s team 600 electric bikes to distribute.
MrBeast’s team asked people to share a video that explains how owning an electric bike would help their lives. In response, hundreds of videos poured in about people who have to walk long distances to reach their workplaces or do not have accessible transportation facilities.
Beast Philanthropy then sent the Lectric eBikes to the people who needed them across the USA. In the video, Beast Philanthropy gave e-bikes to a host of people, including immigrants who work minimum-wage jobs and send money to their families in their native countries. They also gave 10 electric bikes to Interfaith Refugee Ministry, an organisation that helps refugees. Along with giving the free electric bikes, Beast Philanthropy also gave away some monetary help to the beneficiaries. This video, titled “Changing the Lives of 600 Strangers" has had over 59 lakh views since it was posted on March 31.
One of the recipients of the free electric bike commented on the video, “I’m not here to brag in any way, but I was lucky enough to be one of the recipients, and I’d like to again say thank you to Jimmy, the entire Beast Philanthropy team, who was so incredibly kind and helpful. If any of you have ever wondered just how in-depth Beast Philanthropy is with their generosity, when I had my video conference with one of their reps, my only question was what the tax liability would be. No joke, he called to check with their legal department, and sure enough, I incurred zero tax liability. They truly thought of absolutely everything. Absolutely blown away to have been on the receiving end of such kindness."
This was not the first time that Beast Philanthropy donated electric bikes. Last year, they distributed Lectric eBikes to Kenyan water delivery workers who had to push loads of water on their manual bikes from wells to different houses in their community. The electric bikes greatly helped the water delivery workers to make more frequent and faster trips.
MrBeast made Beast Philanthropy, a side channel, for his philanthropic projects in 2017. As per Beast Philanthropy’s YouTube, “100% of the profits from the ad revenue, merch sales, and sponsorships go towards making the world a better place!"
