California State Senator Used Her Male Staffer As ‘Sex Slave’, Lawsuit Filed
The lawsuit, filed by Condit, claimed that he was subjected to unwanted sexual advances and harassment while serving as senator's chief of staff.

A lawsuit has been filed against California state Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil for allegedly using her former male chief of staff as a ‘sex slave’.

The lawsuit, filed in the Sacramento County Superior Court, claimed that Gil “engaged in erratic, controlling, sexually dominating abuse of authority and power” against her chief of staff, Chad Condit.

The lawsuit, filed by Condit, claimed that he was subjected to unwanted sexual advances and harassment while serving as senator’s chief of staff, New York Post reported. Condit, son of former Congressman Gary Condit, claimed that Gil used to pressurise him to perform X-rated acts while travelling for work.

Condit also claimed that he reluctantly did sexual favours for the senator for several years to keep his job. He said that this “quid pro quo relationship” left him riddled with back and hip injuries.

“This was a sex-based quid pro quo relationship of unwelcome advances and sexual behaviors coupled with punishment and flexing of power,” the lawsuit mentioned.

He claimed that Gil had a proclivity for oral sex and she used to treat it as a perk of power. As per the lawsuit, Condit alleged that he suffered a debilitating back injury while performing oral sex on the senator in a car, which left him with three herniated discs and a collapsed hip.

He revealed that he began using his back injury as a reason to decline the Senator’s advances in August last year. However, she responded by issuing a disciplinary letter accusing him of inappropriate behaviour. He claimed that he was fired in December as he continued turning down the Senator’s advances.

Gill’s ex-staffer further mentioned in the suit that she had a “lifetime free pass” to cheat on her husband. Condit first started working for Gil when she ran for her Senate seat as a Democrat in 2022. He became her chief of staff when she was elected. Gill recently switched from Democratic Party to Republican Party.

Condit has sought monetary damages for the allegations including lost wages, loss of earning capacity, employee benefits and damages for emotional distress.

However, the senator’s attorney has counter-attacked her former aide’s accusations. “A disgruntled former employee has fabricated an outlandish story, presented without evidence, to get a payday,” Ognian Gavrilov slammed the suit in a statement to Politico.

“We expect that the senator will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing of these bogus, financially motivated claims,” he added.
