Fayetteville: Donald Trump has criticised President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for dragging the US into wars overseas and said the rival presidential candidate's foreign policy would mean "generations of terrorism" into American schools, but his plan would put "America first".
"(Obama and Clinton) have dragged us into foreign wars that have made us less safe and they've left our borders wide open at home," he said at an election rally in New Hampshire.
"Isn't it interesting how we fight for other people's borders, lose the lives, the money - most important are the lives, the great lives. We lose lives, the money, and yet we want to have open borders, right? Explain that," he said.
"We fight for borders for other countries - half the people never heard of these other countries. They want borders and then we leave our borders open. And they've shipped our jobs and they've shipped our wealth to other countries. To all Americans, I say it is time for a new leadership," Trump said.
The criticism came as Trump and Clinton blitzed the battleground states yesterday, with days to go for the election that will decide the next US president.
Clinton's long-held lead in New Hampshire has collapsed in recent days and nationwide the gap between them has remarkably narrowed to the margin of error in some opinion polls after the FBI revived questions about the Democratic nominee's use of a private email server as secretary of state.
The FBI announcement of investigating new Clinton emails was immediately latched on to by the Republican candidate, and that helped him soar his ratings a week short of Election Day.
Both the candidates have launched aggressive campaigns in the final stretch and both are concentrating more on getting their supporters to vote rather than swaying those undecided.
In New Hampshire, Trump said the failed policies of Obama and Clinton resulted in emergence of Islamic State group.
"Our new foreign policy will put America first. You haven't heard that for a long time. Hillary brought death and disaster to Iraq, Syria, Libya, she empowered Iran and, she unleashed ISIS. Now she wants to start a shooting war in Syria in conflict - and this in conflict with a nuclear-armed Russia that could seriously lead to World War III. I think she's an unstable person to start off with, I really do," he said.
HeAlleging that Clinton wants a 550 per cent increase in Syrian refugees flow to the US, he said "that's over and above the thousands and thousands being let in right now by Obama."
"Her plan would mean generations of terrorism, extremism, and radicalism spreading into your schools and throughout your communities. When I'm elected president, we will suspend the Syrian refugee programme," he said.
"We will keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country. We have no choice," he said.
"We owe USD 20 trillion. I'll get the Gulf states to put up the money. They have tremendous money. They need us, they have to step up to the plate," he said.
