WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has hilariously called out Cody Rhodes’ pyro budget after winning the Men’s 2024 six-man elimination chamber match on February 24.

Hosted at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, there were fireworks everywhere after McIntyre made history at the premium live event.

Following his victory, McIntyre sent out a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, where he joked about the fireworks around his celebration, comparing it with fellow wrestler Cody Rhodes. “When you beat Cody you also get a portion of his pyro budget”, he wrote.

The six-man elimination chamber match was packed with action featuring some of the roster’s top wrestlers, including Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul and Randy Orton. The crowd favourite Knight began the chamber action against McIntyre. Owens was the first entrant into the match from the pods as he carried the match’s pace and taunted other stars who were waiting for their turn to enter the ring.

Bobby Lashley was the first man to be eliminated from the Chamber as Drew McIntyre lit him up with a Claymore kick. The match was soon interfered with by AJ Styles who landed some chair shots onto Knight before finishing him off with a styles clash. McIntyre picked up his second elimination in the match as he pinned the crowd-favourite after the damage Styles had caused.

Next, Randy Orton picked up his first victim of the night as he delivered a RKO to eliminate Kevin Owens. Down to the last three, the United States Champion Logan Paul took out McIntyre by delivering a splash from the top of a pod. While trying to use his infamous brass knuckles inside the chamber, Paul was hit by an RKO from Orton and got eliminated.

Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton were the remaining two competitors in the bout. As McIntyre tried to land the Claymore Kick onto Orton, the Viper countered it into an RKO. As Orton was going for the pinfall, Logan Paul came back into the match to hit him with a brass knuckles shot. The move knocked out Orton cold, leading to a pinfall victory for McIntyre.
