WWE action moved to New York on June 28 as the latest episode of SmackDown was hosted at the famed Madison Square Garden. The show featured all the latest updates for the company’s upcoming premium live event Money in the Bank. It is scheduled to be hosted in Toronto early next month. As for Friday Night SmackDown, three clashes were on the match card with all of them being Money in the Bank qualifiers. The show began with a huge brawl between The Bloodline and a team of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. A couple of women’s triple-threat matches followed. Whereas, in men’s action, LA Knight, Logan Paul and Santos Escobar competed. Finally, an induction ceremony was held by The Bloodline in the closing moments of the show.
The show kicked off with a huge brawl
WWE SmackDown’s latest episode began with a massive brawl between some big wrestling stars. Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton engaged in a fight with the Bloodline. A bunch of security guards had to run down to separate the stars. The trio of Orton, Rhodes and Owens then got on the microphone and told the Bloodline they were not waiting until WWE Money in the Bank. The brawl resumed once again, leading to police officers rescoring Rhodes and company out of the building.
Naomi qualifies for WWE Money in the Bank
Naomi, Blair Davenport and Indi Hartwell competed in a triple-threat match for a spot in the women’s briefcase ladder match at Money in the Bank. After some back-and-forth action, Jade Cargill appeared at ringside to send Hartwell crashing into the ring post for costing her earlier on the night. Naomi took advantage of the situation to land the Sunset Flip on Hartwell. She then pinned her opponent to seal her place in WWE’s upcoming premium live event.
The Bloodline’s acknowledgement ceremony
This segment began with Paul Heyman introducing himself. He was then interrupted by Solo Sikoa who asked for the microphone. Heyman obeyed and handed the mic over after which Sikoa introduced his enforcer Jacob Fatu. The ‘new’ Tribal Chief ordered Paul Heyman to put a lei around his neck but he hesitated. This didn’t sit well with Sikoa who ordered The Bloodline to attack Heyman. A triple powerbomb was delivered next after which Fatu put the lei on Sikoa. The Bloodline then held up the One symbol as the show went off-air.

Candice LeRae vs Jade Cargill vs Tiffany Stratton in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Stratton won the match by pinfall using the Prettiest Moonsault on Candice LeRae
LA Knight vs Logan Paul vs Santos Escobar in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Knight sealed a win with an O’Connor roll on Logan Paul.
Blair Davenport vs Indi Hartwell vs Naomi in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Naomi beat Hartwell with a Sunset Flip.
