Fisker EMotion Electric Vehicle Butterfly Doors Unveiled
Henrik Fisker has promised the new car to have 400-mile-plus range (650 kms), four butterfly doors, and a "revolutionary" battery.

Long before Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla Inc. made it to the limelight, there was another genius whose electric car created quite a ripple in the market. If you are a true blue automobile lover, you must have heard about an electric car called Fisker Karma. Manufacturer by Henrik Fisker, the Fisker Automotive crumbled and went to China for resurrection.

However, when it failed too, Henrik Fisker formed a new brand called Fisker Inc. and any new company needs a new product, and the Fisker called it the EMotion electric sedan. Henrik promised the new car to have 400-mile-plus range (650 kms), four butterfly doors, and a "revolutionary" battery. The whole package will be showcased at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Fisker has released some new images of the EMotion divulging the beautiful butterfly doors of the EV. The Emotion will have butterfly doors all-around, with the rear seats having rear-hinged doors. Fisker says the interior will be more spacious than the competitors, with the rear legroom exceeding that of "many full-size luxury sedans." Every seat will have individual screens.

The Fisker Emotion will be powered by a 143-kWh lithium-ion battery that can be charged upto 125-mile range in just nine minutes. Fisker says the replacement li-ion batteries sourced from LG Chem employ proprietary module packaging to create "probably... the most energy dense battery pack in the world."

The Emotion has a top speed of 161 miles per hour.

Fisker Emotion production will begin in 2019 at a base price of $129,000.
