Dilipbhai Khambalia, a dedicated teacher at Mandavadhar Primary School in Gadda taluka, Botad, has become a source of inspiration, especially for overcoming his physical disability. For the past 25 years, he has devoted himself to teaching and guiding students through life’s challenges while setting an example with his perseverance. He handles electrical and plumbing work at the school, saving on labour costs and earning admiration from both the school staff and villagers.
Despite being disabled since birth, Dilipbhai never allowed his physical limitations to stop him from achieving his goals. He completed his primary and secondary education despite facing many challenges along the way. During his college days, he avoided public transport, choosing to walk from his hostel to college daily. He did all his daily chores independently, including washing clothes and cleaning utensils, a testament to his resilience and determination. Through hard work and dedication, he completed his graduation and B.Ed degree, paving the way for his career as a teacher.
Dilipbhai firmly believes that children are the future of the country and emphasizes the role of teachers in shaping them. According to him, a teacher must make every effort to help students reach their full potential. At his school, he ensures students are engaged not just academically, but also through activities that stimulate their personal growth and development.
