Inspiring Story Of Truck Driver’s Son Who Cracked CAT And Got Into IIM Lucknow
Andhra Pradesh's Ganamaddula Naga Sumant said that his father Subbrayudu Ganamaddula is a truck driver and his mother G Lakshmi is a teacher.

Every candidate aspiring to pursue an MBA aims to crack the Common Admission Test (CAT) examination and get admission to some top management colleges and universities around the country. Today, we will talk about one such boy who cracked the CAT examination and achieved an amazing milestone. We are talking about a 22-year-old engineering student named Ganamaddula Naga Sumant. His story is an inspiration for everyone who dreams to crack the CAT exam and get admission to IIMs.

Sumant is a resident of Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. He cracked the CAT examination and achieved his dream of studying in an IIM. He has secured admission to IIM Lucknow. The boy achieved this milestone overcoming various difficulties.

Talking about his parents, Sumant said that his father Subbrayudu Ganamaddula is a truck driver while his mother G Adi Lakshmi is a kindergarten teacher. The family often faced financial issues as most of his father’s income was spent to address their basic needs like food and rent. Sumant mentioned that he has closely witnessed his father’s struggle.

He said, “During the rice and cotton seasons, my father used to stay away from home for weeks. He had to travel long distances to transport crops. But despite all such difficulties, my father always tried to give me the best education.” The 22-year-old boy’s eyes were filled with tears while he spoke about his father’s contribution to his success.

Sumant has been an outstanding student since his schooling days. Despite hardships, he continued his studies and achieved his dream milestone. Sumant completed his B.Tech from IIIT Srikakulam. He secured an impressive CGPA of 8.8 in his B.Tech. In the 10th grade, he secured a CGPA of 9.8 while in the Class 12 examination, he secured a CGPA of 8.8.

During the final year of his B.Tech, he took admission to a data science and programming course at IIT Madras, where he learned about the CAT examination. He then started to prepare for the exam. He used to study for around 12 hours a day to prepare for the exam. He said, “Mathematics is my strength and I used to appear for mock tests regularly to prepare for the exam.”

Ganamaddula Naga Sumant also mentioned that his uncle has helped him to reach this milestone today. His uncle reportedly provided him with academic and financial support which helped him to achieve his dream. After completing the MBA degree from IIM Lucknow, Sumant aims to secure a good corporate job to improve his family’s family condition.
