The accused took the class 10 student to his nearby shop on the pretext of a school function and raped her there.
Faridabad: A teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping his niece in Gonchi village of the district, police said on Tuesday. The accused, a 30-year-old computer teacher, who was victim's uncle, has been sent to jail, they said.
On Monday, the girl, a class X student, was alone at her home when the accused reached her home and on the pretext of a school function, asked her to accompany him. However, he took the girl to his nearby mobile repairing shop where he allegedly raped her, police said.
The teacher had threatened the girl of dire consequences if she divulged the matter to anyone. When the girl's parents came to know about it, they lodged an FIR against the accused.
