Global Coir Expo from Sunday

In the four-day function the Coir Board has lined up a host of programmes including a Nadan Food Festival. The food festival will have special facilities for fast-breaking taking into account the month of Ramadan.Apart from this, there will be cultural programmes on each of the four days. On August 12 there will be a dance fest by Laxmi  Gopalaswami, followed by a magic show by Samraj on August 13, and a musical evening by Soorya Krishnamoorthy on August 14.On August 15 there will be a music and dance fest lined up by 150 artists directed by Soorya Krishnamoorthy.As part of the expo, the Coir Board has announced a rebate of 10 percent on all coir products and a rebate of 20 percent in the case of rubberised coir products like pillows and beds.first published:January 01, 1970, 05:30 ISTlast updated:January 01, 1970, 05:30 IST
