New Delhi: In a daring robbery in Mumbra in Mumbai, on Wednesday, four men looted gold worth Rs 35 lakh form a jewellery shop in Mumbai.

The robbers forcibly entered P R jewellers in Mumbra, Thane at around 2130 hrs IST, just when the shopkeeper was about to pull the shutters down for the day.

Report said the men robbed the place at gunpoint and decamped with the stolen gold.

Earlier this month, the alertness of a guard at an ATM of a private bank in Mumbai foiled what otherwise would have been a well-executed heist of Rs 17 lakh.

The police arrested two men including an employee of UTI Bank's maintenance department for attempting to rob the bank's ATM at Bandrup in western Mumbai.
