Cuba: The human rights campaign group, Amnesty International organised protests at US Embassies worldwide on Thursday to mark the fifth anniversary of the opening of the controversial US military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
The group has demanded that the Guantanamo Bay prison be closed.
A dozen American peace activists, including Cindy Sheehan, marched in Eastern Cuba, chanting slogans against the military prison.
In Rome, caged campaigners staged a protest while in Madrid, protestors sent the petition to US authorities.
Vigils also took place in Australia, Israel, the United States, Japan, Paraguay and Tunisia.
