Jewels, cash seized in Tiruchy; probe under way

TIRUCHY: Income Tax officials are probing a duo, Ravi and Ramesh who were in a car which transported 34 kg of gold jewels and Rs 40.52 lakh cash. The jewels and cash together added upto over Rs 10 crore.Sources said that the jewels and cash belonged to a jewellery in the city. They also disclosed that the owner had promised to produce the relevant documents and recover the cash and jewels later.
