The deceased, Sufiyan from Thrikaripur, Kasaragod, and Meenakshi (21) from Kadavanthra, Kochi, died in an accident near Kochi’s Lourde Matha Church, Thevara, at 12:30 am on Sunday
A young man and his sister-in-law died in an accident while going to buy diapers on the day of his baby’s threading ceremony.
The deceased have been identified as Sufiyan from Thrikaripur from Kerala’s Kasaragod district and Meenakshi (21) from Kadavanthra in Kochi. The accident took place at 12.30 am, early on Sunday near Kochi’s Lourde Matha Church, Thevara.
Both had gone to buy diapers for Sufiyan’s baby. Their bike rammed into a post and fell on the vehicles parked nearby on the road. They were seriously injured and died on the spot. The bike belonged to Sufiyan’s friend.
Sufiyan’s father has been identified as Ashiq and his wife, Malvika. Meenakshi’s father has been identified as Raju.
