Cargo discharging activity commenced at 7 am and the remaining cargo of 39,733 MTs was discharged by Wednesday afternoon.“This is a global record and a remarkable achievement considering the port’s previous record, set a year ago on July 23, 2011, of 106,171 MTs of steam coal,” KPPL said in a release.The company added that the discharge of steam coal has been mentioned in the business chapter of the Limca Book of Records 2013, which will be out in January 2013.
