Mumbai: In yet another case of insensitivity by the police, a young woman had to undergo a harrowing ordeal when she went to file her complaint for molestation by goons in Mumbai.
According to the woman, she and her friend went to a police station to report her alleged molestation but when the officers realised that the area doesn't fall under their jurisdiction, they were escorted to another police station.
The two woman faced disappointment yet again when the second police station also turned them away. The woman was finally taken to the Bandra Police station where her complaint was filed by a female officer.
The woman claims that she was questioned over what they were doing late in the night at an isolated spot. The Mumbai Police Commissioner has initiated an inquiry. Three people have been arrested in the case.
