Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday evening for a three-day visit in the southern state of Kerala.
The PM is scheduled to launch an e-literacy drive sponsored by the state government on Saturday. He is also slated to open the international study centre of Tata Consultancy Services at the Technopark in capital city.
In Kochi, Singh will commission the LNG terminal and inaugurate the 90th year celebrations of "Mathrubhumi" daily onSunday before winding up his visit.
Singh was received at the airport by Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Union Minister Shashi Tharoor and other state leaders.
