HYDERABAD: Thousands of students across the state stand affected with the Sakala Janula Samme derailing the counselling schedules for admissions to various professional courses.
These include the second phase of counselling of EAMCET (B.Pharmacy, BiPC stream), ICET (MBA, MCA), EDCET (B.Ed), CEEP (Polytechnic) and the firstphase counselling of DIETCET (TTC), M.Tech and M Pharmacy.The first phase of counselling to EAMCET (B.Pharmacy), ICET, EDCET and CEEP had been completed before the Telangana political JAC launched the Samme on September 13 and the officials even announced the dates for secondphase counselling which has since been postponed indefinitely.

The department of school education also postponed the firstphase counselling of DIETCET, scheduled for September 26, indefinitely.

Students, parents, college managements and technical education department officials have been eagerly awaiting restoration of normalcy to resume the counselling and begin the academic year as early as possible.

Similarly, many students have been awaiting for the resumption of counselling of these programmes. The students who got the seat in the firstphase counselling have also been awaiting the second phase to get a seat in their preferred colleges by exercising the web options again in the secondphase counselling.

The department of technical education has postponed the ICET secondphase counselling, scheduled for September 14 and 15, indefinitely.
