MALKANDIRI: Suba Bandami, one of the five villagers from Potteru, abducted by the Maoists on July 5, was finally set free on Tuesday. He was released near a forest, about 20 km from Potteru. It was an emotional homecoming for Bandami. "I got my husband back due to efforts of the media," said a visibly overwhelmed Lacchi, his wife.
Speaking to wellwishers who had gathered outside his house, Suba said the rebels had treated him well during the seven days in captivity. Suba was asked not to have any ties with the police in future, sources said.
